kitchen bakeware

I love the Food Network, and on weekends, I tend to watch that more than anything else.  It's interesting how just a few years ago, if you wanted to own something with a celebrity cook/chef's name on it, you had to go to their website, or their network's website to purchase it.  But now, it's becoming increasingly common place to see kitchen bakeware and cookware from people like Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray and Paula Deen, in any given store you walk into.  Before they started this new venture for themselves, you were limited to cookbooks that they wrote.  I have first hand experience when it comes to some of those celebrities kitchen bakeware and cookware, and can tell you, they are worth the investment.

I bake more than I cook, so I know the value of investing in good kitchen bakeware, something that is made of good qaulity and will last you for the long run.  Far too many things these days are more disposable than long lasting products.  But if there's one type of product you can count on to be long lasting, I'd have to say it would be kitchen bakeware and cookware.  I'm sitting here thinking of some of the kitchen bakeware items I have and think about the pieces that we've had since I was a kid, if not longer.  I still have the same metal 8x8 inch baking pan that's been in the house since the 70s probably.  I can't remember a time in my life when we didn't have that pan.  Of course, not every piece of kitchen bakeware has stood the test of time, but there have been plenty of things that are still going strong.

For as much kitchen bakeware that I have, there is one thing that I don't have, but would love to get.  One of those sets that are a baking dish, lid/cover, hot pack and insulated carrying case.  I drive a good hour to get to my brother's house and this would be great for the holidays when I make a casserole or something like that.  That way I won't have to reheat it as long as I do now.  I wonder how long it will be before I see those with a celebrity chef/cook's name on it.
