Home Decorating with Slipcovers
I am always looking for different ideas for home decorating. I am fortunate enough to have a neighbor that specializes in slipcovers as well as a variety of other home decorating talents.
When I grew tired of looking at the well made, but old couch in the living room and didn't want to replace it, I had her make me a form fitting slipcover. It is so well fitted you would not know it is removable. That naturally makes it washable. Actually I have two different slipcovers. One for summer home decorating and the other for winter home decorating. Living in the southwest I like something cool and fresh for summer and deeper warmer colors for winter.
Another home decorating slipcover idea is my dinning room chairs. For every day use they are wood that matches the table. However when I have a formal dinner party, she made me darling slipcovers that I just slip over the chairs and tie in the back with a bow. It really does add that elegant home decorating touch and my guest always compliment me.
